 AP-100 Primer
Porous Surface Primer
Use this single-component, clear, zero-VOC, water-based, acrylic primer with our AS-75 anti-slip floor coating and for applications on porous surfaces, wood or concrete.

CONCRETE
Remove oil, grease, dirt, wax, etc., by dissolving with a commercial grade cleaner/degreaser then flush the area thoroughly with clean water and allow it to dry. Remove all paint films, laitance, and loose concrete by scarification or shot blasting. Smooth or glazed surfaces should be roughened and new concrete should cure at least 30 days with good ventilation prior to application. Form release agents, hardeners, sealer, etc… will interfere with adhesion and must be removed.
ASPHALT
Sweep to remove all dirt and other loose contaminants. Remove oil, grease, dirt, etc. by dissolving with a commercial grade cleaner/degreaser then flush thoroughly with clean water and allow it to dry. Any loose or cracked asphalt should be repaired.
WOOD
A clean sound surface is required. Remove any dirt or oils from the surfaces with a commercial cleaner/degreaser and allow the surface to dry. Follow with sanding to remove loose or deteriorated surface and to obtain the proper surface profile.

 The Right Tools for the Job.
Application of these products are made easy with a professional sprayer or specialized easy-to-use rollers available from American Safety Technologies. Our napless, phenolic-resin coated, core roller is essential for creating the correct anti-slip profile. The 9" roller cage is built for rugged use. Our heavy-duty fiberglass extension handle allows you to pull the coating towards you with the correct downward pressure. The stainless-steel mixing blade is indispensable for throughly blending anti-slip coatings.

EASY TO CLEAN.
AST Coatings are just as easy to apply as paint. Simply roll onto a clean, dry, uncontaminated floor. Most of our coatings are ready for light traffic in 12-24 hours, heavy traffic in just 48 hours. AST Anti-Slip Coatings are easy to clean, too. They meet the ASTM D-3450 test for washability and easy clean-up. Just sweep, hose off, or run a scrubbing machine over the surface with the cleaning solution of your choice.
